The Moment Someone Called My Wine Event “Phenomenal”

“Phenomenal.”
When I founded my wine business, my goal was simple: to be taken seriously in the wine industry.
At the first wine event I attended, no one took me seriously.
Until I met Claire Allan from Huia, who showed me extraordinary kindness and helped me find the confidence to take those vital first steps in the world of wine.
Today, I deliver corporate wine tastings and wine education events for some of the world’s largest financial services companies and leading professional services firms.
I’m fortunate to have built a powerful network of women in wine.
Restaurants now ask me to design their wine lists, and wine regions collaborate with me to share their stories on Instagram and digital platforms.
But my ambition was always simple: to be good at what I do.To be respected. To be taken seriously.
So when a client wrote to tell me that my Women in Wine event at Soho House for Morgan, Lewis & Bockius was “phenomenal,” it genuinely brought tears to my eyes.
I always hoped to be good at what I do.I never imagined someone might call it phenomenal.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far.
The best is yet to come.
