What actually makes a client event memorable?
Not the venue, not the budget, and rarely the wine list on its own. On the blog this week, I've written about a recent tasting for Taylor Wessing, where structuring the wines around the firm's own identity turned the evening into something guests were still quoting on the way out.

A few wines have also landed on my desk this month that are genuinely worth knowing about. The 2025 Provence rosés are arriving, Gusbourne has released a beautifully poised new Brut Rosé, and one of the best Picpoul vintages I've tasted in years is on its way to UK shelves.
Here's my short bulletin on the new season:

Prosecco Guide
And finally, a piece that's been doing rather well over on Instagram: how many glasses are actually in a bottle of Prosecco, and how much fizz you really need for a welcome reception. A short, practical guide to planning sparkling wine for events/parties properly, covering 15-minute welcome drinks, longer receptions, and why under-ordering Prosecco is the quickest way to shift the mood of an evening.

As ever, if you're planning something for clients this summer, a dinner, a tasting, a networking event with a bit more thought behind it, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
