The Turkish wine near Borough Market, the producers of the future worth knowing next & the Prosecco questions everyone is asking.

Is this the best place to drink Turkish wine in London?
Turkey has been making wine for thousands of years and is home to well over 1,000 indigenous grape varieties.
Yet most of us would struggle to name a single one or know where to try them in London.
I recently visited a Turkish-Cypriot restaurant near Borough Market that is doing a brilliant job of introducing people to this extraordinary wine culture. There’s a great vibe, the food is made for sharing, and the wine list goes far beyond the familiar regions most restaurants rely on.

Future Icons: who’s up next?
We all know the wine names we’re supposed to be impressed by.
Pétrus. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Bollinger. The classics whose reputations are already firmly established and, if you have the money, the bottles you’re expected to buy.
But who comes next?
That’s the thinking behind Future Icons, a new corporate tasting I’ve been developing around the winemakers and producers I believe people should know about before everybody else catches on.
People such as Samantha O’Keefe of Lismore in South Africa, whose career I’ve followed for around a decade. She established her winery in an unusual part of the country, lost it to wildfire and rebuilt. She has since gone from strength to strength and is producing some extraordinary wines.
Samantha is just one example, but the idea can take us across regions, generations and styles.
We’ll look at the people behind the bottles, what they’ve already achieved and why I believe their names are worth remembering.
The famous producers have already had plenty of attention. Future Icons is about sharing the ones I think deserve it next.

The Prosecco questions everyone asks
Think of this as your shortcut to shopping smarter for Prosecco.
From understanding what all those words on the label actually mean, to knowing which bottles are worth picking up, I’m here to help you find the right fizz without overthinking it. Because choosing a great bottle of Prosecco shouldn’t be complicated.

"The wine tasting was genuinely one of the highlights of the day.
We had so many people tell us how much they loved the experience."
