Networking events
9 articles of hers are about networking events, from 2021 to 2026.
In her words
The challenge with traditional networking events is that they rely on the guests to create the energy.
The format was simple: guests had to rank wines from least expensive to most expensive, tasting blind.
They fail because nothing in the room makes it easy for people to connect.
People arrive, exchange pleasantries, drink something perfectly nice, and leave without having had a single conversation they'll remember on Monday morning.
But it’s only since the pandemic happened that the virtual wine world has really taken off as a means of business communication and networking.
With companies unable to physically meet their colleagues, their clients and their prospects in person, corporate virtual wine tastings have become a fun and engaging way of ‘getting together’ over a video call to talk wine, learn a few things and network with the important people in your business life.
