Elizabeth & Wine is five years old! What a milestone.
I am so thrilled to be in operation still and successfully navigated the challenging COVID times, don’t get me wrong I totally cried when we went into lockdown and everyone cancelled their booking – I thought E&W was over.
Then came virtual wine tastings and they were a blast – everyone, thank you for turning on your cameras letting me into your homes and telling me about your favourite wines.
Tough times made fun with smiling faces and good wine conversations. Lockdown propelled E&W into the US.
Who knew you don’t need an office in NY to be very popular – I had a blast hosting wine events across the USA and globally from NYC to Japan crossing time zones and serving wine for breakfast.
Whilst I miss meeting families on zoom I am thrilled to be back hosting events in person.
With the return of in person events and whilst the first half of last year was bumpy with high drop outs the second half of the year was booming. Everyone wanted to get back out, meet people and have a drink. I love being around people it’s what gives me my energy and some of the highlights last year were visiting Gusbourne English vineyard with EssenceMedia with 20 key clients for a day tasting English sparkling wine in the sunshine.
Plus many big Christmas parties including Finova and the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park with a private suite overlooking Hyde Park for 50 key clients with live chef stations and sushi being served.
Don’t let me forget one of my favourite places, Café Murano with Cadwalader – an night of fun with Italian wine, food and discussing women wine influencers.
