Barolo
Barolo appears in 6 articles of hers, from 2022 to 2026.
In her words
Giulia made a bold decision in 2013 to bet on the Langhe’s most prized slopes, planting Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Nebbiolo on the highest ridge in Barolo, surrounded by the last remaining forest in the area.
Barolo, she reminds us, is a wine of terroir.
The experience of sampling these wines side-by-side allowed us to compare their unique flavour profiles - Barolo's deep structure and Chianti’s vibrant notes truly came to life with a comforting bowl of ragu.
This red wine hails from Piedmont, Italy, and tonight, I'm uncorking a particularly stunning bottle: the 2018 Franco Conterno Barolo DOCG Pietrin, which I picked up for £40.00 from Vino Fandango.
Yesterday was a great day or tasting wine at Corney & Barrows head office at St Catherine’s Dock, the wines were showing well and we sampled seven wines from Pinot Noir, Barbera, Langhe Nebbiolo and four Barolos from 2018 including one Barolo poured from a magnum vintage 2013.
