What are you doing to #EmbraceEquity this year?
If you haven’t yet planned your IWD networking event, never fear, there’s still time!
Picture an event concept where we gather a group of influential female clients/prospects for an #EmbraceEquity - themed wine tasting and networking session.
As the theme for IWD this year is #EmbraceEquity we can discuss what gender equity means, how to achieve it and what barriers there are to delivering gender equity in the workplace.
We could deliver this in a number of different ways…
Small and intimate
e.g. lunch for 10-12 in a private dining room somewhere cool and on-trend (Lisboeta on Charlotte St, Nuno Mendez’s new spot, for example) to serve lunch and sample some outstanding wines made by women?
In the middle
e.g. grazing platters and wine tasting (all wines made by fabulous female producers with compelling stories to tell) e.g. Bocca di Lupo’s private room is a stunner and comfortably fits 32 seated or 40 standing
Thinking bigger
e.g. standing canapes and fabulous female-made wines at the Mayfair Townhouse, we’d take over a floor to accommodate 60-75 of your clients standing for networking drinks

Wine of the Moment
Wynns, The Sliding, Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra, South Australia 2016.
Made by a brilliant woman called Sue Hodder and she says "The aim of the wine is to deliver a leading affordable Cabernet Sauvignon, showcasing exceptional varietal and regional characteristics".
What makes this wine special is the fact it is planted on a unique strip of “Terra Rossa” soil in the Coonawarra. If you rub a bit of the soil between your hands they will turn red and thay helps make this wine excellent.
Black current, cassis, cherry and slightly minty. Excellent mouthfeel, medium not too heavy.
