I am getting lots of questions about what wines to buy this Christmas andthe best wine gift bottles from the supermarkets.
I have some brilliant recommendations at around £10 a bottle that I would happily drink on the big day and which also make great gift bottles of wine.
I can highly recommend the 'Joy of Christmas' tasting experience from The Wine Society - an ideal gift for those wanting to learn more about wine and you can compare wines, for example prosecco versus cava.
The box includes 'how to taste' leaflets and links to short educational videos that are very high quality. Alternatively, it makes for a great case of mixed wine to take you through the festive period. A gift case of wine £95 for 10 wines.
A lot of people can be put off by the joining fee £40, but you do get £20 back on your first order. The Wine Society is one of my favourite places to buy wine!
If you are looking for some stocking fillers, well everyone needs more than one champagne stopper and I recommend ‘The Finest Bubble’ online(I find this retain the fizz very well)!
Also, great news, many supermarkets have 25% OFF cases of wine, so don’t waste any more time and get to the shops before the 25% off finishes in Tesco, Morrisons and ASDA.
As ever I am here for your wine-related questions and recommendationrequests. I have partnered with lots of exciting and new venues in London and New York, so if you are looking to host an event away from the office in a fabulous venue like Café Murano, Lisboeta or the Mandarin Orientalthen please drop me an email!
