Inspiring Inclusion - International Women's Day 2024

International Women's Day (Friday 8th March 2024) celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The aim of the 2024 #InspireInclusion campaign is to collectively forge a more inclusive world for women.

For #IWD2024, I have created a unique wine event theme specifically designed to inspire inclusivity.

Inspiring Inclusivity

The Elizabeth & Wine “Inspiring Inclusivity” event theme will explore how the is wine world becoming more inclusive since the days when menstruating women were banned from wine cellars in case they ‘turned’ the wine. Numerous female sommeliers have spoken out about the sexism and patronising behaviour they’ve had to deal with at work, so what progress has been made? Where is the wine sector at with diversity, who are the leading female winemakers that are breaking barriers and overturning centuries of discrimination to create outstanding wines?

And what about the all-important end consumer? How do women buy, choose, think about, taste and select wines, and who do sommeliers in restaurants still pour to the man before the woman!?

The Inspiring Inclusivity event is perfect for women’s networks, D&I groups or any corporate looking to inspire inclusivity in your workplace.

Inspiring Inclusivity: How it Works

The wines: four wonderful wines (one sparkling, one white, two reds) made by female producers, from Laura Catena’s Argentinian Malbec’s to Aslina a stunning Chenin Blanc, made by South Africa's first female black winemaker Ntsiki Biyela.

The Venue:

I will ensure that your office event space looks fabulous OR choose from one of my fabulous handpicked London venues, including Café Murano, Lina Stores, Bancone, Maison Francois or Lisboeta, among many more!

The Damage:
Office - £1850 + VAT event fee plus £40 per guest - that includesEVERYTHING (wine, glassware, coolers, the lot!).
