A quick note to say the next Wing Woman Wine Club session is now booked for Monday 8th December at 6:30-7:00pm and I’d love you to join.

    Theme: Christmas Supermarket Picks
Focus: What to buy, what to avoid, and how to shop with confidence this festive season.

I’ll be sharing my top three bottles from three major UK supermarkets, great value, great flavours, and perfect for Christmas parties.

    We’ll cover:
    • What to pair with turkey (and what really doesn’t work)
    • How to spot the good bottles quickly
    • How not to feel overwhelmed by the shelves
    • What to drink on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day

As always, this is a relaxed, friendly 30-minute session with time for questions and a proper conversation.

IWD 2026 - Give to Gain

International Women’s Day (Sunday 8 March 2026) is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year’s theme, #GiveToGain, focuses on a simple truth: when we invest in women, their leadership, education, visibility and economic empowerment, society becomes stronger, more equitable and more prosperous.

It’s a call to collective action: mentorship, advocacy, allyship and opening doors for others. When women thrive, we all gain.

Why this theme matters in wine

The wine world mirrors society. For generations, women were excluded from cellars, leadership roles and decision-making. Even today, many female sommeliers and winemakers speak about barriers, bias and assumptions.

    But things are changing.

Women winemakers are now behind some of the world’s most exciting bottles. Winemakers of colour are redefining excellence with new perspectives and new expressions. And women, as consumers and changemakers, are driving a more inclusive, thoughtful wine culture.

    This event explores:
    • How women have transformed wine through collaboration and community
    • Why giving back matters, mentorship and visibility in action
    • The rise of women of colour in global wine
    • How women consumers are accelerating equality, and where gender bias still lingers

A thoughtful, energising session for teams wanting substance as well as celebration.

    The wines

A curated flight of four bottles: one sparkling, one white and two reds, all crafted by exceptional women in wine.

Expect stories from pioneers such as:
    • Laura Catena, Argentina’s visionary leader in sustainability, innovation and the next generation of talent.
    • Ntsiki Biyela, South Africa’s first Black female winemaker, whose journey from rural KwaZulu-Natal to founding Aslina is a masterclass in resilience and purpose.

Their stories, and their wines, illuminate exactly what Give to Gain is all about.
