4 Festive Cocktails to Make at Home This Christmas

Here are my go-to favourites — simple, sparkling and guaranteed to bring a little extra magic to your celebrations.

1. Poinsettia

A bright, elegant classic with a wintery twist.

You’ll need:• 25ml Triple Sec• 50ml cranberry juice• 75ml Aldi Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut or Prosecco• 1 fresh bay leaf

Method:Add Triple Sec and cranberry juice to a flute, top with chilled fizz and garnish with a fresh bay leaf.Festive, refreshing and impossibly pretty.

2. Negroni Sbagliato

Bold, bubbly and perfect for a grown-up December evening.

You’ll need:• 25ml Campari• 25ml sweet vermouth• Prosecco, to top

Method:Build Campari and vermouth over ice in a highball. Top with Prosecco, stir gently, and finish with an orange slice.The bitter-sweet profile and sparkle give it a warming, sophisticated edge.

3. Bellini

Soft, peachy and effortlessly elegant.

You’ll need:• 50ml white peach purée• Prosecco, to top

Method:Add the peach purée to a flute, top slowly with Prosecco and give a gentle stir to combine.Perfect for Christmas brunches and slow, indulgent mornings.

4. Mimosa

Fresh, bright and a Christmas-morning essential.

You’ll need:• 50ml freshly squeezed orange juice• Prosecco, to top

Method:Pour the orange juice into a flute, top with ice-cold Prosecco and serve immediately.Light, uplifting and celebratory without being heavy.
