Hosting a ‘Women in Wine’ event for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett at CityPoint, London

It's #WomensHistoryMonth and for #InternationalWomensDay I hosted a wine event for 120 fabulous women and men at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett in their spectacular office café in the CityPoint on Ropemaker Street, located on the 20th floor with panoramic views over the City. It's such an amazing space within the firm’s office. In celebration of the #WomeninWine theme, we tasted four amazing wines from around the world - all made by women - including Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label, Banfi Poggio All Mura and Le Colture Prosecco as well as discussing 'new' styles of Sauvignon Blanc from Yealands New Zealand made by Natasha Christenson. We discussed this style of Sauvignon Blanc that is more restrained, less overt and proving to be hugely popular in taste - especially with those who previously found Sauvignon Blanc to be a little ’too much' for them. I’m a huge fan of Yealand’s Sauvignon Blanc. Their Sauvignon Blanc is an affordable option and is available from most supermarkets.Plus it's made by female winemaker Natalie Christenson where they focus on biodiversity and nature all around. Wine of the Moment: Yealands Reserve Sauvignon Blanc - SALE £9.49 (Was £11.99) at Waitrose
