Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Bordeaux in France and the Napa Valley in California but grapes from these regions can command high prices.
Malbec is one of the six grape varieties allowed in the blend of red Bordeaux wine.
The other grape varieties are; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenere - although Carmenere is rarely used in Bordeaux blends today.
