Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon appears in 21 articles of hers, from 2022 to 2026.
In her words
And the wines reflect that warm climate, their Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir offerings are bold, punchy and direct, great if that’s what you’re after but often a bit much for the UK palate, accustomed as we are to looking for lighter styles, more freshness, lower alcohol.
Her Cabernet Sauvignon, for examples, offers depth and structure but also a restraint that feels far more aligned with how many of us in the UK want to drink today.
For a winter red that never fails to deliver, look for a classic Cabernet Sauvignon, in this case, one from Chile offering perfectly ripe cassis flavours, herbaceous notes and oodles of flavour.
Look for Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra in Australia.
My favourite is Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon which is made by female winemaker Sue Hodder.
The Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is made from 70 year old vines.
